The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) has recently identified the need to improve its business model and service offering through the improvement and consolidation of both its corporate real estate and laboratory facilities throughout South Africa.
SABS has identified a number of key corporate real estate and laboratory assets to be improved that would serve as the catalyst for further optimisation and consolidation throughout the organisations entire facilities portfolio. These facilities include:
- West Coast Regional Office (Cape Town) – R70 Million
- A-Block refurbishment (Pretoria) – R130 Million
- Civil and cement laboratory (Pretoria) – R27 Million
- Standard Sales Office (Pretoria) – R5 Million
|The scope of work pertaining this programme includes; Refurbishment, alterations, additions, facilities maintenance, modernisation, component improvement and relocations.
GladAfrica project manager (formerly Ariya) has been appointed under a 3 year framework agreement to manage the delivery of all works throughout the SABS’ portfolio in respect of optimisations, consolidations and refurbishments.
