As part of an ongoing commitment, and desire to continually improve and reduce environmental impact, minimisation of its corporate and retail real estate, FirstRand Bank Limited initiated a process of “greening” existing real-estate holdings, as well as seeking to achieve Green Star rating and certification of a number of new key corporate real estate developments.
As a means of accommodating aggressive expansion and increased market share take-up, FirstRand Bank has seen fit to provide additional capacity in terms of its call centre support facilities to accommodate an ever-increasing clientele base. This project entails the development of a new, large-scale 5 Green Star-rated Contact Centre in Randburg, Gauteng, that will serve to provide significant additional capacity to service FirstRand’s existing client base, as well as a growing base throughout South Africa.
The facility comprises: 13 900m2 of basement parking over two levels
- 10 900m2 of operational contact centre space (including offices) over 2 No. levels • Extensive backbone data and cabling • Onsite waste digestion and conversion
• Complex uninterruptible power supply and data protection systems
• Cafeteria facilities • Extensive external hard and soft landscaping.
• Appointment as Project Manager and Principal Agent for the project.
