Gladafrica was borne out of a vision and this vision was to participate in life changing built environment solutions through service excellence. Our mission to consistently provide excellent service to our clients is testimony to the two decade milestone.

Over the years, we have participated in mutually beneficial collaborations by working on memorable projects varying in complexity and magnitude. We take pride in not only meeting but also exceeding our clients’ expectations. GladAfrica’s growth has been a result of our commitment to clients. Our clients and stakeholders remain the centre of everything we do.

Our Journey


Led by founding member Noel Mashaba, the company began its journey in 2002 as Mamoroke Transport and Projects cc, a construction company that commissioned civil works.


The company changes its name to GladAfrica Transport and Projects cc and expands its offerings to include civil engineering services to clients in the construction industry.


GladAfrica Transport and Projects cc becomes GladAfrica Holdings (Pty) Ltd in April 2007. Fuelled by exceptional business growth, the company repositions itself to provide clients with a range of technical professional services, including civil engineering, development planning and project management consulting.


GladAfrica hits new milestones in its development, beginning to secure contracts of increasing value. Since 2009, the company’s order book has been no less than USD 1 billion.


GladAfrica realigns its leadership team and appoints a Group CEO and a board of directors with various sub-committees to improve the company’s corporate governance.


GladAfrica becomes a multi-disciplinary, built environment consultancy and begins the implementation of a new five-year strategy that provides better direction, focus and clarity.


GladAfrica Holdings acquires Ariya Project Managers to fulfil its strategic objective of establishing a specialised project and programme management subsidiary. The GladAfrica Group is established, consisting of specialised engineering entity (GladAfrica Consulting Engineers), a specialised project management entity (GladAfrica Project Managers) as well as GA Environment.


The company continues to grow steadily with over 100 active projects on its books, simultaneously servicing a range of private and public clients. As a result of its commitment to strengthening the company’s operating model, GladAfrica expands its geographic footprint and increases its presence in each province of South Africa.


GladAfrica Group announces a 5-year partnership with topflight football controlling body, the Premier Soccer League. The ground-breaking agreement makes GladAfrica the title sponsor for South Africa’s second-tier professional football league. The league is officially named the GladAfrica Championship for the duration of the partnership.


Over the two decades of our existence, a key element of GladAfrica’s approach to business is to maintain a unique identity in the market. Our overall service delivery is underpinned by globally recognised and certified best practices, in line with our ISO ce rtified quality management systems. GladAfrica constantly seeks to increase efficient, sustainable, and globally relevant practices in the built-environment industry.
