  • Client:
    Airports Company South Africa (ACSA).
  • Project value:
    R813 million
  • Purpose:
In preparation for the increased passenger volumes associated with the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, ACSA initiated a national infrastructure upgrade programme to airside and landside infrastructure. As part of this programme, upgrades to infrastructure elements were undertaken for both landside (terminals, parkades and support facilities) and airside (runways, docking aprons, service roads, fuel lines, etc) infrastructure elements.
  • Scope:
Provision of 2 x new large aprons, five x remote narrow-body aprons and a new major service road. A primary goal of ours was to ensure integration and accommodation of a new A380 aircraft at the Cape Town International Airport from other international airports.
