  • Purpose:
    Environmental advisory and conservation planning services for the Department of Environment and Infrastructure Services in the proclamation of the Klipriviersberg and Kloofendal Nature Reserves, in accordance with the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act 57 of 2003.
  • Scope:
    The scope of services include the compilation of management plans for both nature reserves, and ensuring that all legal aspects of the proclamation process are adhered to, in consultation with the competent authorities. The project entailed, among other tasks, a landownership audit, the preparation of proclamation diagrams (to be approved by the Surveyor General), public participation and key stakeholder consultation.
